30-06 factory ammo for encore rifle

i know on my dads savage 30-06 he shoots winchester 150 grain soft points with great accuracy but i was wondering what some of you shooting 30-06 encores have used for factory loads from your encore with good results. i am interested in finding a good round to shoot from them and any help would be greatly appreciated. i know each barrel has it;s own characterisitics but it will at least get me close to where i need to be.

My 30/06 barrel really likes the federal premuim 180gr HE partition loads.  It shoots them as good as anything else I have tried.  Most quality ammo shot pretty good, including winchester 180gr PP.

hada change ofheart and went witht he 308 instead. decided to save my surgery riddled shoulder some and knew the 308 would be a good caliber and a bit smoother than a 30-06. just wanted to stay with a 30 cal bullet
