Anybody ever hear of the El Gamo 126....It was recommended to me as a great practice gun for silhouette shooting.

I would like to know more about this rifle....

Thanks

chunter,

From what I could find out the El Gamo model 126 was made by Gamo Mgf. back in 1988 and discontinued shortly there after.  Information on this model is spotty at best.  If I were you I would look for a newer, better rifle.  Lawdog

If you're referring to the Gamo model 126 match rifle, its far from being an inferior gun. Its a .177 single stroke pnuematic sidelever, shoots at about 600 fps. Its very much like the FWB300s but nowhere as expensive, and it DOESN'T have the standard crappy Gamo trigger, but an excellent match trigger instead. If you can find one for $250-300 or so take it.

thanks Dave.  There is a gun that has a few that he has redone in this area, and I guess he is selling them for just under $300.

I couldn't find any info on them, thank you for your help. I really like the price tag, especially if they are somewhat comparable to the FWB300.

Thanks again

Where in CT is that? I might be interested too if its not way off the beaten path.  I wouldn't mind at least taking a look-see anyway.
