After a month's wait finally received today my new BSA Hornet .22 carbine, and so far I am very pleased with it looks and feel. I carefully unpacked it, clean the bore with a pull through, patches and MP5. Then removed the stock to clean the action and wax the furniture, put it back together and installed a scope, air charged to 3200 psi and sigthed at 20 yards. For now I can say it is high quality made, very accurate, has an excellent trigger, is powerful enough to dispatch small critters at 50 yrds and beyond, and is noisy. After I have the opportunity to extensively shoot it at different distances, chronograph and photograph, I'll be posting number of shots per fill, goups, velocities, pictures and comparison against my other PCP's.

Because of the bad weather I had to limit todays shooting session to 20 yards in my workshop, but anyway it was a lot of fun to start appreciating the excellent accuracy of this little gem.
The target used was the ISSF/NRA AR-5 10 meter air rifle, shooted rested from a distance of 20 yards, 5 shots per bullseye. I used 4 different .22 caliber pellets for 20 shots each with an initial aircharge of 3000 psi for each pellet brand (Crossman Accupell, JSB Exact, Beeman Kodiak, Eun Jin). All performed excellent being the Eun Jin the tightest shooter closely followed by the JSB Exact.

I had one. With permanently installed moderator from the factory. Mine was a little longer than the pictured carbines. Shot a little over 900 fps with CPs for 30+ shots. I shot some 25 yard 5 shot groups that were easily covered with a dime (including flyer). The only thing I didn't like about mine (the reason I sold it) was the weight - mined weighed in at 8LBs 10oz without scope & rings.
