old Stevens side by side 12 gauge shotgun

Have a friend hunting with me this weekend from up in Maine,in his fith wheel camper has this old side by side 12 gauge Stevens 12 gauge 2 triggers, good forearm, good tight gun, but the stock had been broken and really lose around the pistol grip area of the stock,and no butt plate,said he picked it up about 10 years ago a a yard sale, used it around the marshes to shoot a few ducks etc.......said he only paid 30 bucks for it.......i am thinking about trying to buy it from him a find a stock for it.....any suggestions where to find a used stock or a replacement......also what's it worth??///THANKS FOR ALL REPLIES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

If it is a 311, I bought one a couple of years ago, in similar condition, for $150.  'Repaired the stock, and sold it for $200.  The "cowboys" have really opened up a market for these.      :wink:

well i helped my friend process 2 deer he killed sunday afternoon, we cube and wrapped the two deer and he gave me the gun-----so i am happy--and so is he......i would really like to find new wood -stock and forearm for this=====
