Well , I've done it now ,I just picked up my Rem 7600 in 35 rem. that i had ordered from Grices. I don't WANT a 35 rem. So now, who can do a conversion to 358 win..i've never had any work like this done before ,and a little scared about putting a new rifle under the knife. Would appreciate any names or numbers. Thanks

The guy I've used for years locally is in the Guard and stopped taking orders. Won't say why but I sorta get the idea he may be going somewhere in the near future. Post your location and perhaps someone has a snith they trust who is local to you.. Shipping is a pain and is not a sure thing..

Thanks for the help. I looked up Gander Mountain and they show a conversion for a 760 ,shouldnt be much diff. between the older and newer models ,fewer and bigger lugs on the bolt i think, I'll call and find out for sure as soon as turkey day gets over.

I've never had a 358 win or shot one or knowed anybody thats had one, but I have really got the itch bad for one. I had thought about a Whelen but really wanted to keep recoil down.And by rolling my own I figure if i need a little more ump I can steep it up nearly to a Whelen , and keep it in a short action. I dont understand why 35 calibers have never been popular.You would think they would be the choice here in the southeast. Well didnt mean to be so long winded ,thanks again for the help.

Howdy,
I have a question along the same lines. I just picked up a Remington XP100r in .35 Remington. I would like to rechamber this to .358 Win also. Will this work and feed properly?
