Cheers,

Does anyone have any experience using these things?  Do they work?

Every year when I return from fire season ( 5 to 7 months away), I fight a yearly battle with rust in the bore of my Sharps.  No matter how well I clean her, or what I use to preserve her, I get a trace amount of rust showing up on the first swab run down the bore.

I saw these things advertised in a catalog, and at $9 for 5 of them, I figured I'd try 'em out.  As advertised, they should last a full year - but my Mamma had ugly children, not dumb ones.  So, I'm asking

Thanks and gentle winds,
Russ

Thompson Centers Bore Butter has worked for me for years. Have a great day.
