5/64' vs 3/32' snare wire?

Sorry but the first post on this question didn't work.
I am going to buy some more snares and was surprised that R.P, Outdoors says that 3/32' wire is what they recommend for Cats.
And 3/32'  washer lock snares are even cheaper than 5/64"'s.
I remember catching a Coyote by the hind foot in a 3/32' snare years ago.
He went all the way through the snare and was caught by one hind foot.
So The 3/32" snares are good snares, I would expect that 5/64" would be better for as slinky of a critter as a Cat.  A 3/32" snare is used for a Hog!
If it is strong enough for a Hog, isn't it just possible that a 5/64" snare would be better for Cat, the snare being lighter and less noicable to a critter as sensitive as a Cat?

3/32 inch cable,is only 1/64 of an inch larger than 5/64 .I have my doubts,if you would find a whole lot more resistance to 3/32,though 5/63 is a bit more flexible.
 We are not allowed to use snares here for cats,our DNR figures they are way to easy to snare.
  I load all the snares I sell,one of my customers set a 3/32 snare for fox,he caught a marten.A loaded snare is much faster than a non--loaded one---most cheap snares are not loaded.
