Rained out in South Texas
« on: November 22, 2004, 10:43:14 AM »
Just spent two days slogging through swampy ground (1 mile one way) to and from my deer blind. Too boggy to drive any kind of vehicle in. Only saw a doe and a fawn for my efforts. Gave up a day early because my legs are so sore from mucking four miles a day, and all my gear is soaked. Barely able to jump over the swollen creek branch to get to my stand yesterday p.m. We've had 12 inches of rain in two weeks and counting. Praying for a week of sunshine.
There is no more humbling experience for man than to be fully immersed in nature's artistry.

What a bummer, hope it clears up for you. :D
