I bought my son an SB-2 handi-rifle, .223 bull barrel when he was 10 for his first deer-rifle. It took me 6-months to get the stupid thing to shoot worth a darn. It would'nt group any factory ammo that I tried, and I tried all kinds, any better than about 4 inches.I reload and I finally found a couple of recipes that group really good.( 1/2" to 3/4") And yes Its had a good trigger job, the o-ring deal, the bore is clean, everything is tight and all the other BS that goes with these guns. Well he out-grew the .223 so I had a .308 barrel fitted to it. ( I love the .308 winchester ) I've tried at least a dozen different hand-loads, bullet wts from 110 to 180 grains, including a certain load that groups about 3/8" or better out of my 10FP. I,ve been messing with this thing since February, tried several scopes that I KNOW are good and it flat will not shoot. I'm sick & tired of messing with it. If I buy a deer rifle I want something I can count on, and NEF aint it ! This POS is going on up for sale and I'll buy the boy something he can trust to hit where he wants to hit. Maybe some people think its a challenge to get an NEF to shoot , but I think its BS ....
