Did anyone watch the History International show on Joseph Manton? It ran for an hour and was pretty good. Showed a few of his guns but not in enough detail to suit me. It's on again tonight at 1 a.m. eastern time and I'm sure they'll repeat it a few times at a more civilized hour in the coming weeks.

Didn't see it. If you enjoyed the topic, I strongly recommend : THE MANTONS GUNMAKERS, by W. Keith Neal and Donald Black. It is the entire history of all the Mantons.

It's been out of print for many years (circa 1965). At ABE Books, probably $60–100. It's worth the investment.
