Hi all,does anyone know of a source for a new model 700 bolt with a .308 boltface? I have a 700 BDL that I want to rework from 7mag to 6.5-55 but I dont want to rework the original bolt if possible.Thanks,jim

Give pacific tool a call @541-826-5808 Saw  something that they were going to make some otherwise get on Benchrest.com as there are acouple sources for Rem bolts those guys know about.

Easiest way I've found to get one is send Remington a rifle that hasn't been altered in any way and tell them you lost the bolt and want a new one. In your case you'll have to borrow one, since they'll only put an original bolt in your rifle. If you want to rework your own, it's no big deal to sleeve the bolt face and put in a new extractor, either factory style or Sako style.
