Try IMR 4227, it almost works well in the Hornet.  I use 45 Gr Hornet bullets Hornady brand, no crimp.

RCBS 55gr. flatnose cast bullet, 8.0gr. WC820 and a rifle primer. Sub MOA and about duplicates a 22 mag velocity wise.

Hunt and Target

My NRA Sil load is 9.5 gr IMR4227 with Sierra 45 gr SMP bullet, definatly sub MOA. Light and consistant load, more potent than .22mag so takes down the 100 yard rams consistantly yet won't damage the targets. No scope adjustment necessary between the chickens, pigs, turkeys and rams 20 to 100 meters.

Hunt load is 12.5 gr Hodgden Lil'gun with 40 grain V-max, just under an inch. Very low pressure with this powder.

9.6 grs 2400 with nosler 45gr. hornet.

Most accurate I found, 1 hole groups at 50yds. Under 1/2 inch at 100yds.
That is for my 14" BBL.
