small base dies in bolt action
« on: November 24, 2004, 02:01:51 PM »
I reload for my ar's with small base rcbs dies, 223. i just got a cz carbine, my question is can i use the loads that i've loaded with the small base dies,  in this bolt action. I do have full length dies but i use the small base more often and have a bunch of 55gr. rounds ready to go, also if anyone can help, the cz is a 18.5" bbl, what twist is it, i think 1-12?, also any suggestions for loads using #748 ww powder with a twist of 1-12, my ar's are 1-9 thank you

The only dies I use for my Remington 722 in .300 Savage is RCBS Small Base.  The exception is when I am making cases from 7.62 NATO or commercial .308 into .300 Savage.  The first pass is with a Lee 30-06 die.

There after I use the SB dies for all other loading in this round.
