RV  I reload for Handi 30-30 But have not got work with to
come up with any thing ti brag about. Used 2 or 3 bullets
and about 5 powders. Still have not fired enough to
brake it in. As soon as I can do some thing good I'll let you know.

I've been shooting Hornadys 150 SST over 33.5 grains of WC 846. The load is giving me 2360 fps. I have tried R-7, R-15 and IMR 3031 in the rifle but it shoots best with the WC 846 so far. I have some Nosler 180 Partitions I am going to try out sometime in the near future. I also have some Speer 165 Grand Slams, but I thik the bullet is too hard for the velocities of the 30-30. I have also read in several sources that the 180 Mag Tip is a reliably expanding bullet in the 30-30, but I'm not sure I would fill a tube magizine with cases so loaded, but that is one of the beauties of the single shot Handi

The 125 and 150 grain Ballistic tips are hard to beat in the single shot 30-30. I like 3031 about the best for powder.
shot placement is everything.
