It would appear that Ruger has heard the dim and cry and has come out with a smaller version of the Vaquero.  Check the site below

Now we are talking!!!  This is the gun I have been waiting for.  I enjoy Rugers sturdyness, but have never cared for the big, clunkyness of them.  I have been debating over a Baretta Stampede, or a Colt Cowboy, or a U.S. Firearmes.  This Ruger will have to be my first purchase!  (I'll still buy a USFA sometime though).  Seems since Bill has been gone, Ruger is listening to it's customers wishes much better.  First the cleaned up and better looking 10/22, now this.  Thank you Ruger.  44 Man

44Man, I promised I wouldn't say anything more about the Colt Cowboy.   :P
I'm looking forward to seeing the new ruger.

Hey guys

Just wondering...

When are these New Vaqueros supposed to be available?

Are they gonna have the same "tank like" toughness as the original Vaqueros?
