Iowa does not have a rifle season, and that is also why Iowa has so many big deer taken. If every yahoo in Iowa had a rifle, there would be no deer, and a lot less Iowans. TOO flat and not enough trees.
Inregards to the .224 deer rifles, save those for prairie doggin and whip out the .25 cals- The ones DESIGNED for deer hunting.
