Straight stock for Encore...
« on: November 25, 2004, 03:42:56 PM »
I'd love to get an Encore but hate the pistol grip stock and the huge drop at the comb.  I'd like a straight stock, thumbhole maybe, that I can use for one.  Any thoughts about who makes one?  I really really like Tigerwood stocks.  Any straight ones that would fit an Encore?  Also, I'm a lefty too so it would have to be for a lefthander(if thumbhole).  Thanks.

Ive seen thumbhole stocks before, but eliminating the pistol grip.....aint gonna happen.  Because of the stock bolt position thats the reason you get the steep pistol grip (for a Rifle.)  You need to remember these frames were meant to pull double duty as a rifle and pistol.  Ill have to check around for the link to the tumbhole stocks.  Or someone else who has it on hand can provide it.

A few people here have done business with this gent and seem to have positive things to say.  Been thinking of one myself, but its low on the list of wants for right now.
