Well after reading the advice and thinking about why I started using the pistol to begin with I decided that the Ruger Blackhawk Hunter in 44 is plenty of gun for me. Where I hunt in Maine a long shot is 50yds and that is just about perfect for me and my set up. I may still get a 454 but it will be just because I want one.
