Just got back my 10" .44 barrel (Contender) from Eabco after having the three ring scope mount and a target crown put on it. I really like the mount, it adds weight to the pistol, holds the scope better, and looks cool as well

.
So I decided to try it out with some H110 and 180g XTP's to sight it in. My book has two listings for that combo - 29 and 30 grains. 29 grains shot horribly with a 7" group at 1750 fps. 30 grains, however, shot 2 inches at 100 yards with a 4 shot group at 1800 fps. Quite a disparity  , but I'm happy with the results so far

. I'll keep messing with loads and OAL until I get 1".
