its a light weight 6 shot ruger. Mine will be a vaquero with a drift adj front sight. He takes a stainless ruger fits a alum grip frame and ejector rod housing. Rechambers it from .44 to tight .45 rebarrels it with a match grade 4 inch barrel. action job free wheeled ect. Mine will also have the recoil sheild and loading gate scalopped and a bisley hammer on it I sent him a set a sambar stags to fit on it when its all done he bead blasts it to match and i will have him polish the screws and pins. I believe he claims a weight of 28 oz without the scaloping. It is one of his package guns and is decribed on his web sight.

Sounds like a real snazzy piece Lloyd. I've sure been having a hankering for the 50 cal OldArmy. I think that gun would be a hoot.

Be Safe,
Scott

theres a cheaper way to get an old army up to the task of deer hunting Scott. I had Dave Ream my cyl deaper he claimed theres plenty of meat in the back. I shoot 43 grains of pyrodex and a 240 wfn out of a mold that Dan at mountain molds made me. I can get close to 1000 fps out of that bullet safely. I believe he charged me $75 to ream the cyl.

I did a google search for Dave Clements AND 45 Ermie and got nothing.  Do you have his web site address handy?

Lloyd, sounds like a great packing pistol.  I've got and old SBH that has a 5" bbl, alum ejector rod housing, aluminum BH grip frame (both satin nickeled) and I have Ken Kelly put on a fluted cylinder and polish it up and put a great blue job on the steel parts.  It carrys well, but I'd still like to go lighter.  Thought about cutting the 5" bbl to 4" (or 3 3/4") and having the recoil shields scalloped, maybe round butt the grip a little.  What is there about a 4" Ruger that just balances and carrys so well!  44 Man
