Youth bows?
« on: November 28, 2004, 12:00:27 PM »
My son is very small for his age he is in 6th grade and is the size of a fifth grader.  He wants a bow for Christmas but I want to get one that he will be able to draw now but use when he gets older to hunt with. Do you have any suggestions?  Thanks, oktx.

There is one bow that has no let-off and very wide range in draw length, but it does mot have uch poundage.

I went through that with my son's and I don't think such an animal exists.  You just have to keep moving up.

BTW when their draw length gets to about 24-25" it gets tougher and a LOT more expensive.

just thought I'd cheer ya up
God, Family, and guns, in that order!

I've settled on the Alpine Micro. Good draw length adjustment and looks like a good quality bow.

My daughter is thirteen and shoots a PSE Spyder. It's a real nice bow, and she still has some draw length adjustment. She started out with a 15# draw, and in about six months she had worked up to a 35# draw, the legal minimum for hunting in Florida.
