ruger redhawk action job

Are there any guide lines out there for a novice to use to slick up the action of his Redhawk.  Metel to metel surfaces seem to have lots of burrs.  Can I stone these off myself with out doing dammage i will regreat?

Some of the parts that need work are on may be on the restricted sale list, check with Brownells or Ruger to know for certain.  If you mess up new parts will be in order.  A few burrs and rough spots can be safely removed as long as you stay away from sear surface angles for anything more than a light polishing.  Sprint kits are available thru Brownells and with a bit of polish and burr removal thay will provide a decent trigger at little risk.  The are also books available that will help..specifically the books by Jerry Kuhnhausen.  Available thru Brownells they are top of the line!
