I'm planning on gettin me a Handi in 45/70 Gov. And I was wondering how far I can seat the bullet out ? And may be the use of heavy RN bullets.

The 45-70 does not have the long throats like some of the others (most notabably the .223).

My rounds are now at 2.550.  I doubt I could get them to 2.6

I have loaded some of the Hornady 350gr. RN.  They worked ok, got some decent groups.  I'm shooting 383gr. cast bullets right now.

It is a simple matter to get a throating reamer and lengthen the throat. The NEF uses the Gov't Ball throat, supossedly the same as that in the 1873 Springfeild Trapdoor. Since it is a single shot, you could lengthen the throat by any amount you would like and not have to worry about feeding problems as might be experienced in a lever action repeater.
