If you haven't done it already, take the bow to a pro shop and have them make sure it is tuned properly. If the bow isn't tuned correctly, you'll never be able to shoot it well.

Other than that, the best thing you can do is practice. When I first began to get serious about bowhunting, I tried all kinds of sights, releases, etc, etc in an effort to help accuracy. None of it really did me much good, as I later found out, as the main thing I lacked was practice and consistency. With enough practice, you'll perform every shot nearly exactly the same without even having to think about it, and that's when you'll start seeing some real improvements in accuracy.

Now, don't go out and shoot 25 shots at a time right off the bat, as you'll end up will some severely sore (maybe damaged) muscles and you'll just teach yourself bad habits that you'll have to correct later (been there, done that too  ). Just shoot a small number of arrows, maybe only 3-5 to start off with, but do it every day that you have time.

Yep, proper form and practice is the key as long as you have a well tuned bow.

Sort of, but not really. Since a single cam bow only has one cam, it's impossible for it to get out of time and have cams basically fighting each other. However, despite what some manufacturers claim, single cam bows do have a preferred cam position, so if you want the best possible performance you have to check and possibly correct the cam position as the string stretches.

Also, with any type of bow, you must be shooting a correctly spined arrow, have the tiller set correctly, have the rest adjusted for proper centershot and fletching clearance, and have the nock point set at the proper height.

How many I buy depends on if I'm just wanting to try out something different or I know for certain what I want. If I'm just wanting to try out a different kind, I usually buy 3 and see how I like them. If I'm certain what kind I want, I just go ahead and buy a dozen.

For hunting arrows, I have gotten to the point where I usually just buy Beman ICS Hunters in whatever spine I need, because so far they have always shot plenty good enough for hunting, the price is reasonable, and I really don't think a deer cares whether I'm shooting the plain old ICS Hunters or the newest most high-tech camo arrow. If you decide to switch types of arrows, the main thing is to make sure you get the correct spine, then just pick what you like best.

With the right spined arrows and properly tuned bow, any set-up is inherently accurate.  The key, as said earlier, is consistent form and practice, practice, practice.
