Too darn cold yet for me to do any shooting I like to shoot to enjoy it and with the joys of diabeties and cold extremities that means shooting closer to spring!
Said I never had much use for one, never said I didn't know how to use it.

i like the Greek HXP. it's pretty accurate stuff, and light recoiling. andi it's boxer primed so i can reload it. i'm not the greatest shot because i get very little practice. that will change now that i have a drivers licence.

kevin 303:  I will be shooting the match today.  The temperatures and winds are finally cooperating.  Doesn't mean I'm gonna be able to shoot worth a dang, but I will 'pm' you later for the address to send the target (er, targets, er.....)  Mikey.

I shot my targets and had them on my desk in an envelope ready to go.  Next thing I know, they are gone!!!!!   Naturally I'm blaming the wife.  Heck that's why I married her.

Is there time to shoot it over?

kevin.303 - thanks.  I didn't think I did even that well and I hardly feel set back being at the bottom of the list after using that old Brit.  I am also glad to notice that there is not a great deal of difference in group sizes with those old rifles (or those old shooters, lol).  Now, if we could just figure out who was wearing their glasses or had their eyes open we would know who wuz cheatin' (lol).  Mikey.

Mikey:  "Cheatin"  I haven't even shot yet??  I know the old swede can shoot good benchest now can it shoot good with me holding it??  So your telling me I may have to send two targets??? One benchrest and one me holding it shooting it off hand?  With my 338win.mag between the two shooting positions I had a 1" difference from POA a few years ago.  Now if i shoot on a good day maybe i can just hit the paper now?  Its all good guys just for fun  :-D               BigBill

I don't know all you guys did pretty good there because your all tight grouped too its a horse race for sure!!!  At least the last spots are still open for me i'm not off the list yet??

is it built to the same specs as a USGI 1911? are the sights the same? i'll probably use either a Norinco 1911 or TT-33, because i know they are built to milspec.

Pistol shoot

As far as I can tell it is. It's the plain parkerised version. Fixed sights and lanyard loop on the grip. " Model 1911A1 U.S. Army" is stamped on the slide. LouisV
