This is my newest project. Hern Iron works in ID. 1 5/8" bore. There black paint is not on the Cannon any more, but I will be using Sikkens auto paint on the cannon when I get ready to put it on its new carriage, my brother in law ownes a Body shop and will paint it for me.
Mock up carriage. The carriage that will be used is coming in from Canada, and I can not wait till it gets here around on the 22nd Of December. My working back ground is a machinist.

This is my 6th BP cannon. My second Herns Iron works cannon.
My first BP cannon was CVA Iron Sides And in 1985 I built my first cannon in shop class in high school and the smoke has been going from then on.

Hay thanks a MILLION.
But man my eyes are just about to POP out from all the reading here.
My wife of 16 years thinks I am in "MECA" and now married to my computer. At least she knows were I am at, LOL.
She likes my cannon stuff as she puts it. My 2 kids have allot of fun with me when I take out my cannons, BUT they are always at a very safe distance from the cannons.

I am looking for Prints on a field carriage for a 6lb or Napoleon cannon in a 1.750" bore.
Any help would be great. I can open cad files so if any one has some good prints in CAD it would be great. I will build the Carriage but buy the wheels.

The little CVA Iron Sides .44cal BP cannon to left of my cat MC (and yes he is a BOBtail) is were my BP cannon interest started when I was 8 years old 30 years ago.

Sorry about the size this is kinda new to me as of yet.

But if you keep bobcats for house pets, then maybe I would be smart just leave you lone...I'm afraid of what you might have for a guard dog!

Cool Bob Cat blaster. I would not want him in my lap after he has had some cat nip.

Friend of mine has a Bob cat too, but here in WA it is not cheep to have a registered Bob Cat.

That's a lap cat that NO ONE would argue with.

Do you let it run at night? I would think it would clean up the neighborhood of all feline and canine competition.

Reckon I should have pictured that cat with one of my cannon or mortars to make it official and not off topic. There, I now mentioned the guns so I shouldn't get kicked off ... Only kidding DD. Actually this was a kinda "tongue in cheek" type thing. This cat is no pet as it gobbled up our domestic type cat and then came back trying to enter the garage again in an attempt to find another kitty to dine on. This one would make quite a pet but I havn't seen it around in a while now and I believe catching him would be about as difficult as trying to stuff the wet noodle...
Once, while he was here drinking out of the bird bath, a flock of turkeys chased him away. He sure could have scattered that flock if he did decide to attempt to grab one. End of story... now back to BP Cannon and mortars......... :wink: Blaster (Bob in CO)

Blaster, you have repented and are back on topic.

Actually bobcats can be quite easy to catch especially one who comes around humans like that.

I use trap them when fur prices were good. I under stand prices are back up and that might be a good way to finance a new cannon.

Those cats will wipe out your game birds, only a fox is worse.

DD....my Mrs. (Janet) had advised/suggested that I should doctor up that picture prior to sending it, with a cannon or mortar to kinda follow the lines of the other two picture posters. Naw, of course I didn't but have since learned that I should have done that....Oh well, live and learn. :oops: And since you mentioned foxes, we have a pair of fox/s visiting our place almost every evening. I hope they are taking care of the mouse population around here and not the game birds.
