Custom cylinders made?

I'm gonna pick up the SA Interarms Virginian that I asked about in the thread below.

I'd like to know if theres a smith or shop that will custom make a NON fluted cylinder for me.  I know you may be asking "why?".   Its for looks I guess.  I always like nonflutted cylinders, but I cant afford one of them wetdream Freedom Arms handcannons.   So, modding a cheaper look alike is about all I can do.

Only ones I know of that do cutom cylinders are the well known Ruger custom guys.  It may actually be more ecomnomical to buy a unfluted SBH than to go your route.

Your first problem will be finding someone to take that commission. I don’t know of any that list that gun as one they will do custom work on. If you can find a smith to do the job figure on spending $300-$500 on the work. Reeder Custom does excellent work at a very reasonable cost and they quote a $350.00 charge for an un-fluted 5 shooter cylinder.
Love those .41s'

Thanks you for the replies.

I doubt I'll try for a custom cylinder for what prices I've seen.

The SBH is out of the question,  they want to much for them around this area($600).  Plus, they dont have as clean and rounded look as I care for.  Nothing against the Rugers mechanically, I know they are top of the line.   I just dont care for their feel and looks.
