Moose Falls To The TCR
« on: December 04, 2004, 02:30:52 PM »
Had an old friend come up from Anchorage.  He wanted to go Moose hunting, but did not think it a good idea, he did not have the right equipment.  With 6 kids, a wife, and 4 dogs, his gun collection is limited to an old 30-30 and a 12ga.  I told him no problem I could outfit him and we could have a good time.  I loaned him my TCR with the .338 barrel.  I rode my Panteria and let him ride my Tundra.  First morning 1/2 mile from the cabin he dropped a big cow.  50 yard shot to the back of the head.  200gr Speer Spitzer, in front on IMR 4350.  Not bad for the first time he ever shot that gun.  When we got back he told his wife everything goes on hold till he gets a TCR.  The savings to his grocery bill should just about do it.
Where is old Joe when we really need him?  Alaska Independence    Calling Illegal Immigrants "Undocumented Aliens" is like calling Drug Dealers "Unlicensed Pharmacists"
What Is A Veteran?
A 'Veteran' -- whether active duty, discharged, retired, or reserve -- is someone who, at one point in his life, wrote a blank check made payable to 'The United States of America,' for an amount of 'up to, and including his life.' That is honor, and there are way too many people in this country today who no longer understand that fact.

Sourdough. That sounds like a good hunt and an even better excuse to buy a new gun. Its my all time favorite."Why this gun will pay for itself in no time with money saved on meat". Thanks for sharing with us. POW
