You guys aren't alone.  I passed on them when they first were availableand easily found.   did the same when the .41's were widely available too.  When I heard of the 45's coming out I immeadiately got my name on a list for one.  Well, ok I ended up with two of 'em in .45LC but still on the lookout for the others.
Now I hope this doesn't dampen your spirits but  .41 cal one of these recently went off on an online auction for $610.  Almost $200 MORE than what they were selling for a year ago.

I may just have to make my own...

What do you guys think is the best option?  Buy a SBH and swap out to a bisley grip assembly from Brownells...or buy a Bisley Hunter and swap out the barrel?

I'd buy the non-Hunter SBH and just change out the gripframe, trigger and hammer.  cheaper to buy the non-Hunter model.  Much easier to swap the Bisley parts onto the standard configuration than change out the bbl.  (You can do it yourself)  You'll also have better luck selling the non-Bisley parts than you would the Hunter bbl.

I had a blued Bisley in .44 mag' with 7 1/2" barrel.    A Real BEAUTY.....but I let it go because of the rough chambers and the need for a few bucks.    I later bought a 5 1/2" stainless SBH and put a Hogue monogrip on it.    The trigger came Silky Smooth from the factory.....and it shoots like a championship piece!     It has plenty of power, is easier on the elbow (recoil) from a rest at a bench, and it packs like a dream.    It's a work of art, not just a handgun.....

You never know....your best Ruger could lie somewhere else like mine did.

Good luck,
