Gas checks

Since I am new to shooting lead, can someone tell me what I type of bullet you can put a gas check on.  I understand it is dependent on the base?

Bullets for gas checks have a crimp groove on the base for the gas check to grip, plain base cast do not. 8)

I wouldn't exactly call it a crimp groove.  The base of the bullet has a reduced diameter.  At first glance, it might look like a bevel base, but it's not beveled, it's a squared recess to make room for the gas check.  Gas check bullets are really pretty hard to confuse with any other type.
