does anyone out there have the new deerfield carbine? can the heat shield be removed so that open sights can be installed on the barrel?
Do these have a two stage or single stage trigger?

I am confused. My Deerfield is 6 months old and came with open sites mounted and rings mounted. Why does the heat shield have to be removed?
