For ammo I would checkout Aim Surplus or sportsmansguide.com. now for the good stuff. Take your yugo completely apart by removing the gas system tube/handguard, inside the rearsite there's another rod and spring this must be taken out and cleaned too and open up the reciever by removing the cover, recoil spring, bolt carrier and bolt. Now put the safety on and push the little button forward thats behind the trigger guard and the reciever should come out of the stock just watchout for the bayonet if you didn't remove it, sometimes i don't, i just open it halfway to get it apart quickly. I washed mine with rubbing alcohol it seems to work well since the cosmo is still soft. I even wash the wood too but with a clean cloth with alcohol too but don't use the same cloth as the reciever because it will have cosmo on it and you'll get in on the stock more the less the better. Now take the bolt and look at it you will see a square plug on one side so turn it over and you'll see a round dowel. The round dowel pin needs to be driven out with a small punch so the firing pin can be removed to clean the crud out of the bolt and off the pin. I place the bolt between two pieces of wood to do this so the square end can come out freely. Some of these are tough to get out but they do come out. This is very important and must be taken apart to clean no matter what so slam fires don't occur by the firing pin sticking. Make sure you clean out the gas tube in the handguard too because any cosmo left inside it will melt when fired and when it cools it will stick the piston in place while it can be freed it a "PITA" to clean later. You can lube up your new yugo with gun grease or moly either one will work. I like to lube the gas piston too because wear will occur by leaving it dry over time and use. Also lube up the recoil spring too, i see so many used sks's left dry for some reason. After properly cleaning and reassembly you will enjoy your new yugo sks for many years. These guns will never quit for they take a licking and keep on ticking if we keep them clean and lubed. Make sure you clean the barrel right away after each use too!!!

I'm happy to see another new sks owner because you've taken the first step to enjoy this great inexpensive cheap to feed fun shooter/plinker just make sure you stock up on ammo when its on sale too!!!!! A 1,000rds can be purchased for around $70 and sometimes less too.
