Which capper to use for a '58 rem .44? My straight line capper won't fit ?

Just get the simple straight brass capper CVA sells (part #AC1407A), mine works great.

My solution is to open up the nipple access notches on the Remington to accept a snail type capper. You can use a milling machine or with great care, a Dremel tool. The access notch in the Remington tapers too much to let the capper in and down, so you have to straighten the sides more like the Colt or Ruger.

Thsanks, I'll try the cva. I plan to get several more cylinders, so I 'd like to try that route before mill work.

I found a capper that works. Ted Cash inline capper, made in USA, brass, holds 20.

I don't know about the Ted Cash capper, but the CVA cappers that I have don't like Remington #10 caps (which seem to work best on Pietta 1858s). The Remington caps appear to be a little taller than the CCIs that I have used for years.
