did not quite figure out how to post them in the forum but i posted my hog picture as well as the young 8 pt i got with my handi in the greybeard member album. hope you enjoy

sss , it is a 243. i wanted a light gun to carry for my longer trips and also one my son could shoot and this was a good combination. i  like the way it looks and shoots. thanks for posting the pictures !!!

are those Leopold see through bases on that gun?  Anyway, nice configuration and pictures.

borg1 yes they are, no one in my area had high rise bases so i used those, i know it looks a little odd but it lines up my eye perfectly and when i carry the gun i put my thumb under the scope for a comfortable and secure grip ( i rarely sling a rifle in the woods , it feels better to have it at the ready).

I use 2 sets of Leopold see thrus and 1 set of Weavers on my Handis.  I prefer the Leopolds.  They lock down like a vise.  I also like the hammer clearance regardless of the bases i use.

My next Handi will be in .500 SW, but i am seriously thinking of a .243 stainless barrel for it as well, each with Leopold see thrus.
