I am always in the search for the perfect broadhead. I read a lot about the new Slick Tricks and finally found some on EBay.
The blades look very sturdy, .035 stainless. I tried to sharpen one set with my Lansky hone. Ten strokes and it was suitable for hunting.
The ferrule is all steal with a very sharp chisel point. My concern with such a short broadhead is on angled shots. It looks like you would have no problem with them even at a 25 degree entrance angle to the animal, or, my arm. Please use the animal!
The blades have a locking system that is going to work well. Once tightened on a shaft, the blades are solid.
The weight is consistent within one grain. Machining is very good with just a little burr where the blades go in. Could be easily honed off or removed in manufacturing in a tumbling process.
They look like they are going to be a really good head. Now if bear season weren't 3 months away.
