Bernard Docter Optik bought the Zeiss-Jena factory in the early 1990s. They modernized facility, dropped most of the existing product line, then resumed production.
I know nothing of their telescopic sights.
Binoculars are excellent quality, range of product is excellent. They compare favorably with any other top-of-the-line German or Austrian binocular manufacturer. And they cost top-of-the-line, also.
