OK, getting rotator culf surgery 12/15, so I decided to ride the bikes as much as I can before the "big" day. The 1100 Shadow is nice, the pickup not as good as the old 600 but smooth at speed. The "wife's" goldwing is another story. (We got it so she could ride passenger, hence: her bike).
Brought it home from work last night (just one-up) and as I was turning it around in the driveway, engine dead, it started going over to the right. Left shoulder is no good to hold it and the handle bars were tight to the right so mech. advantage for the right arm wasn't much. Down it goes with me for the ride. Figure the worst is a bit of chrome off the crash bars and some dust on my jacket; WRONG!!!!
Got the right foot pinned under the right crash bar and now the two wheels and my foot are supporting all 13 million pounds of bike. I had to tug with all my might to wrench my foot clear (the bike goes from instep to first 3 toes, all of them pretty much hamburger.
I go in wrap the foot and hobble around when wifey comes home and sees her bike "down" in the driveway. Figures either the wrecker towed it home and I'm at ER or it just fell over.
Once we got it back up she noticed I was limping and the questions and anwsers started ending with, "You're an idoit!" But she didn't want to sell her bike so other than limping around like a one-legged duck life is good(?)
At least I have my health(
