Load data for 7mm Mag & 300 Win Mag w/ WMR powder
« on: December 13, 2004, 04:38:09 AM »
Anyone have any load data for discontinued Winchester Magnum Rifle (WMR) powder?

Looking for some data for 7mm Mag and 300 Win Mag, and some others.

Thanks,

Thanks Steve, that's a good general start.

My published paper references are a bit old and I tend to get my current information from the mfg websites, but Winchester is not putting theirs out.

Anyone have any of the current manuals that show WMR powder loads for 7mm Rem Mag and Win 300 Mag with pressure references?

Thanks,

Winchester does offer loading data on their Winchester - Olin website but like you said not for that powder.
http://www.winchester.com/products/catalog/components/reloadertoc.aspx

Anyway I know I have several of the old freebie loading manuals for them and will get you whatever they have. If I recall I do have the one that includes WMR.

Thanks, I would appreciate that.  My printed references are all prior to the introduction of that powder.

Thank you, that's what I was looking for.

Did you happen to find any on the 7mm Rem Mag also?

7mm Rem Mag wasn't on the sheet I got with the WMR I purchased.

Thanks for checking Jackfish,  found a deal on it at http://www.recobstargetshop.com/index.htm where it is $5/lb. in cases of 10 one pound canisters.

Just ordered some as I have a 300 Win Mag Encore barrel coming soon.   Hopefully someone will find a reference for it for the 7mm Rem Mag barrel I already have.

Thanks SKB, that's just what I was looking for.  I am going to try to find a copy of that manual to research loads for any of the other cartridges I load for that would be suitable with that powder.  I have 30# of it on the way.  I think they have 20# of it left where I bought it.

I still have 13 lbs. of it.  Maybe I need to restock?  What is the HAZMAT fee on 10 lbs.?

The hazmat was $20 for that shipment and with shipping it came to a total of $6.30 per pound.

I looked everywhere for my old Winchester Olin leaflet loading data.......found it but it was missing one page. The one with the 7mm RM data...figures. Anyway I realized my newest Hornady manual had that info. so that is what you got. If you want and have a fax machine I can reproduce it right from the pages.

Might take you up on that kind offer, but I am going to go out today and see if I can find that manual at one of the local shops.

Thanks for the info.
