I am about to buy my first nef rifle. I was wondering if anyone could tell me what stores carry them and what a good price is for a Handi rifle in .280 REM caliber. I would also like to know how to decipher a extractor model from an ejector model. I want the kind that the empty shell flys out of the chamber on its own. Thanks a bunch for the help

Well...depending on where your at...I would suggest finding a full line sporting goods store that carrys firearms or any Walmart...there you can order one...prices may vary from one state to another...but anywhere from $250-$300 is the going price.,..for the Ultra...slightly less for the plain stocked Handi...

My local shop has one in synthetic for $229. He is not known to be the cheapest, but is normally not too far out of line. I have the 30-06 in syn. and love it.

The Walmarts and Bimarts in Oregon and Washington sell the Handis for $160-$190 and the Ultras for ~$240-$260.
