« on: December 14, 2004, 09:43:59 AM »
I'm looking for a custom stock for my 94'.I was thinking about a musket forearm like the one on the Tom Selleck movie Crossfire Trail.I want to put it on my 20" barrel 67' classic.anyone know someone that can make me one.The other question is has anyone used the 30-30 Winchester power point plus ammo on anything, and how well does it do.thanks :-)

Dale Storey??

Quite some time ago I corresponded with a gun smith Dale Storey I think, who worked on 94's.  I was inquiring about rechambering to 30-30 Ackley Improved but I think his brochure showed some beautifully stocked lever guns as well.  Don't know if I still have the info or if he is still making guns.  I never followed through on my plans.

dand its funny that as I read the post above from dave I thought of Dale Storey. I remembered him from Sam Fadalas book 30/30 Americas Rifle. Storey rechambered Fadalas gun to 30/30 AI among other works done at his facility. Hes well known for his work on the Winchester rifles. POW

You can certainly give Dale a yell, but last time I spoke with him (almost 2 years ago) he was just about ready to retire. He wasn't taking on any NEW custom jobs but would still do some gunsmith work.

Nice guy, good work, but I think he is out of the biz.
