Remmington Gun Club Shells
« on: December 14, 2004, 10:01:59 AM »
Hello Everyone,

I'm new to the site, :D  and was looking for any reloading info on Remmington Gun Club 12ga. shells.   I have been reloading AA with Red Dot power.  I would like to stick with the Red Dot, but don't know what the Rem Gun Club shells will hold as far as how much powder.

Thanks in advance for the help.  :-)

I cut up a few of the gun club hulls and from every measurement and comparison I can make, they are the same dimensions as the premier hulls, just steel head instead of brass, I tried some with the same load as I use in the premiers and can tell no difference.

ewalden,

If you go to the Alliant web site or have their reloading manual it will tell you what charge of Red Dot to use.  I know the Gun Club Case is the same as the STS case for loads and with Green Dot I use the same charge in the AA or STS case with the same wad, the pressures are different though.  The best thing for you to do is go to the Alliant web site and decide what is the best load for you to use.

The Alliant web site is: www.alliantpowder.com
Good Shooting,
George
