I was shooting my sporster .22 today.I tried a different brand of ammo to see if it was more accurate than the remington golden bullet ammo. The ammo I tried was CCI mini mags.At 30 yards it would group about 6 inches(looked like a shotgun pattern). The reason I tried the differnt ammo is because the remington ammo was doing the same thing.I removed the scope to see if the scope base was loose(It shouldn't be because I locktited it) it wasn't.I think I am going to try a different scope. This rifle used to out shoot my tc contender 22,but it won't now.Anyone have any suggestions?

Make sure the base screws aren't bottoming out before they're tight, it's been mentioned as a problem before. Eliminate the obvious, the scope is a good place to start. Make sure the crown is looking good, I just bought a sportster that wasn't grouping well, the crown had a bad spot in it, cleaned it up, looks good now.
