Caliber Adapters?

I see some caliber adapters listed on eBay.  Have any of you guys used these at all?  Who manufactures them?  Where else can you get them?  Here is a link:

In Michigan to hunt at night using lights for predators you have to use a rimfire.  Thought this might get me by until I pick up a new barrel.

I made one for a 223 barrel to convert to 22lr. It worked really well but it was custom fit to my chamber and had no exess play in it. They are kind of a pain to use but in a pinch they work pretty good. You'll be much happier with a proper barrel though. KN

the few adaptors I've played with were NOT very accurate! But since you will be shooting under a light and probably close (under 50yards) this might work. The long jump from case to rifling plays tricks with accuracy.

I believe Cabela'a offers some.  The ones I've seen on Ebay go for about double the retail price.

groups with normal ,for the gun ammo ,would shoot into an inch or so at 100 yds.Much better at 50.With the adapter and sub caliber ammo groups went to 6PLUS inches at 100 and 3-4 inches at 50 For just plinking at clay birds or soda bottles at 25 they would be okay. For finishing trapped animals at feet/inches distance they will work also.NOT all adapters are this inaccurate! I had one that shot 30 carbine thru a 30-30 barrel and was more accurate than my 30carbine T/C barrel.???

I have an adapter that was designed to shoot a .22 WMR through my .222 Rem.  Accuracy was fair, but had some bad luck with the whole darn thing.  #1:  the adapter (subcaliber device) fit perfectly in my chamber, but is was a real pain to try to get the smaller WMR casing out of the adapter.  The WMR casing, upon firing, would get very, very tight in the adapter.  I had to remove the adapter and find/carry a stick to eject the spent WMR.  #2  Only fired about 100 rounds of WMR through my adapter.  I started to have a heck of a hard time with the WMR shells going off.  I was set for rimfire, and I know that the firing pin was striking the shell hard enough, but it would take several hits from the firing pin to cause the shell to go off.  Sometimes the shell would never go off.  This happened with all different types of shells.  Finally, I tried to eject the adapter one day, and the rim of the adapter ripped completely off of the back of it.  I now have an adapter without a rim, which is completely useless to me.  Good thing I didn't spend much on it.

If you are serious about going rimfire, find a rimfire barrel and use it.  If you only want to use the rimfire occassionally, a subcaliber device may be a cheaper alternative to buying a barrel.  I did have decent accuracy...when it did work.  Overall, I give them two thumbs down.
How'd you like a peek at my 14-incher? (Contender, that is)
