Just remember he was the Frank Wesson of the Wesson and Harrington that is today Harrington and Richardson or H&R 1871

Yep a Wesson & Harrington 1871 Buffalo Classic would be great in any of these calibers.

Thanks, Montanan, an interesting set of specs.  I agree that any of these would be useful in a Wesson and Harrington, though I would call mine Target Model.  Just my conceit, I guess.  I wonder if Norm Johnson could reline one of these, and rechamber for the old cartridges.  It sure would be  worth the journey to explore this country.

Yeah, folks don't realize just how long a history H&R has. And any who think the Handi Rifle is a "Johnny come lately" do not realize that rifle versions of the Topper shotgun have been in production since the early Seventies, maybe even longer. A 40-65 Buffalo Classic or Target Model would be a very sweet additon to the product line indeed, and fit in well with the current use of BPCR chamberings and components veru well indeed. I would jump through a few hoops for such a barrel.
