Well not much to tell but I'll tell it anyway. When I first got to our make-shift shooting range there was a fellow there who was shooting a couple of pistols and so I waited about 45 minutes for him to finish. It was pretty windy but the hill we shoot into is pretty high and facing the north so it blocked most of the wind and the sun was out to warm the creaky bones alittle. It was about noon I guess when I set my targets at 25 yards and fired the first shot with the Norma 150's. Dead center and 6" left. Adjusted the Swift and fired the second, dead center and 3" left. Adjusted again, dead center! Moved out to 50 yards and fired one and jerked it so missed the paper all together. Then when I opened the action, the dreaded stuck case problem arose. I didn't have a cleaning rod with me but had a friend only about 2 miles away, gave him a call and headed over. Knocked out the case very easy with one light tap, then reinserted it and it stuck again. Tried some of the other fired Norma cases and none stuck so back to the range. My friend decided he'd go too and when I returned, there was another family whom I know that arrived at the same time and began shooting beside me and then my friend arrived and started shooting so it was kinda hard to concentrate after that, it's Ok tho. I went ahead and fired several more rounds until I was getting into about 2" at 50 yards (not really holding consistently) and left it that way. Decided to go out and scout for hogs after that, got stuck in the mighty 'Yota 4x4 (a hard thing to do), did more scouting, found a dead bore that would go about 200 that someone must have shot and lost and the coyotes found, did some more riding and scouting, then went back out at sunset and sat and waited for hogs, but no luck, ran into Digger afterwards and visited a while, shot a couple of his hot rounds in his 45-70  ouch! and got home around 7:30 p.m. A full day.
I'll clean the gun real good today and probably do some polishing on the chamber. I feel like some of the lubricant that I had flushed the action with may have gotten into it, who knows for sure, but I did have a total of two stuck cases with the Norma ammo, more to come on that one I guess. I'll try to get back out one day during this week and work on it some more out to 100 yards. Will probably go for a 1-1.5" high setting at 50 yards and see where that puts me at 100 with both ammos. I'll post more then.
Hmmm....I guess there was a bit to tell after all.
