Howa Legacy 6.5X55

Just to give everyone a heads up on a beginner hunter rifle. I just purchased one of the Howa Legacy 1500 rifles in 6.5X55. I had to free float the barrel to get it to shoot, but now it shoots 1 MOA with the first load I tried. It has a really long throat so seating the bullets to touch the lands is out of the question. I special ordered it from Wal-Mart, took about a week to arrive at my local store.  The price was $338 plus tax.

I ordered the wood stock version a week ago from them also! It looked like a real deal so I couldn't pass it up. We're starting to make pillar bed kits for the Howas where I work, so I'll be able to fiddle with this one and see what I can get it to do.
