Got a new 629 "Ranger"... ever heard of it ?
« on: December 19, 2004, 06:17:53 PM »
I picked up a new SW 629 4" yesterday.  Nice gun.  Stainless frame, beautiful wood grips, and a matte stainless unfluted cylinder.  The barrel is engraved "Ranger" followed by a star, with "1 of 300" underneath.  Otherwise the same dimensions as the regular 4" 629 with rubber grips.  I surfed the net trying to find out about this model and have come up with nothing.  Anybody else seen one ot these?

Lou

P.S.  I'm planning on using this primarily with 44 specials to complement my 7.5" SRH.   I know, I know... I need help!!!

That is one ugly gun....I'd be happy to take it off your hands and save you the embarrassment of having to keep it.

WOW I just bought this gun as well at B&B in Windsor. It is the EXACT same gun right down to the "1 of 300"! My trigger is super smooth and light, feels like a custom job and is the reason I bought it, best trigger I ever felt! Is yours lik that too?
