E.A. Brown BF pistol
« on: December 20, 2004, 08:32:35 AM »
I just got a used BF pistol in 219 Donaldson Wasp. I sighted in yesterday after shooting bigbore silhouette. What a shooter! After sighting it in I was shooting 150m turkeys in the head. That's using a Harris bi-pod with a 2X  pistol scope. I'm very happy with my purchase. I can't wait to try it on the local coyotes.

hello bgjohn, did you by any chance pick this gun up on auction arms or gunbroker. I saw one earlier this month on auction in 219 dw and did not get the bid. I have one of these pistols in 7 brm. shoots better than i could have dreamed about.  7BRU

My BF is about 10 years old and still shoots extremely well.  Chambered to .25-20 WCF, with 87-grain Speer TNT bullets it will consistently agg 0.5 to 0.6 moa for four, 5-shot groups.  It wears an older Simmons 2.5x7 scope.  This barrel was supplied to them by Bullberry - I don't know where they get their barrels today.

:D Yes, I got it on Gunbroker. I've only seen two of them at auction in the last three years. I got outbid on the first one. I used the "buy now" on this one.

After shooting my BF last sunday two of my silhouette shooting friends have ordered BF's. I said, "what the hell" and ordered another BF. All three are to be in 22 Hornet with 10" barrels. Now we need to wait 6-12 months. That's plenty of time to sell some stuff to pay for my purchase.  :-D JM

Ah i see said the blind man. the old buy now trick. when you ordered your new gun did eben mention if the company was doing the chamber work. vvcg used to do his t/c stuff.

i don't know if vvcg did the bf barrels.

since vvcg closed down ea brown does not offer custom t/c except for what comes from fox ridge.  I have not checked lately!

do you like the gold trigger?

good luck shooting the best pistol in the world. I love mine.  BRU
