You mention five weeks. Is that the waiting period for Ed to make it and get it to you? We didn't really discuss how long it would take for him to get mine made and to me. Don't even recall a discussion on color. But I'm shore not real picky on colors.

Which belt/holster rig are you getting?

Ed was gonna set me up with a new one not yet on the site until he found I wasn't really planning to compete to win but just shooting for fun. The new rig is a special deal for the serious competitors I think. Once I get more involved I may find I need another set up altogether depending on what direction I go with this but from what you pards say a cowboy needs a back up set of everything any how.

Well I sorta did a custom deal.. I know the leather he was suggesting for you .. Its called the competitors rig. I thought about that one but wasnt sure about the angle of the holsters..
 Here is what I bought
1) Standard belt , I ordered mine without loops..I am not sure what caliber I am going to shoot so I had them leave them off. You can buy slides for each caliber of pistol you want.
2) Six shell 12 gauge slide
3) Snap on rifle slide in 45/70  holds 10
4) Big ED holster rh strong side plain
5) Big ED holster rh cross draw plain
6) Rifle Belt 45/70  this is the cloth one
I got all of this for 260.00 dollars I couldnt believe it.  I got them in Dark Brown.

That what the ammount of time the nice lady gave me...I would imagine ED may have had a set already made that he was going to send to you. I am not sure though.

I am sure I will be happy with my choice.  I like the idea of being able to get different holsters along the way and use the same belt.  I am sorta cheap you know......
I cant wait till it gets here....but I said that already..

Boy when ya working with a limited income like mine ya gotta be cheap and get every bargain ya can. Otherwise this wouldn't come together. Just found out I got a whopping big $4.06 per month raise for my cost of living raise this year. Now in all fairness that is after covering the cost of the increase in my health insurance but that won't even cover the increase in deductible I have to pay when I make the regular doctor visits or pay for the many prescriptions I have to take each day to keep on living. Seems like since I retired I'm backing up each year.

Shore hope Matt gits thet store opened up soon so I can go back ta work and get caught up again. Maybe the next time I retire it can be for good.  :)
