500 whisper,any load data?

still trying to find some load data for 500 whisper.any help would be appreciated.thanks,shawn

This is from Frank Barnes Cartridges of the World 10th edition...

Bullet(grains-type)  650-750 grains.....Powder..Vit N110..38.6 grains....Velocity...1050fps...Energy 1590/1835....Source/comments....SSK/Load...must be tuned to individual gun...

That's all I have on it...hope it helps...

THE source for data on ALL the Whispers is the man who invented them. Contact SSK Industries and ask. They'll be happy to send it to you. Free if you have an SSK barrel so chambered, if not they generally charge a dollar. If you're an HHI member all is again free.

the reason i am asking is i have a 50 alaskan barrel from vv for my encore.this 50 case is very similar to the shortened ones mr.jones uses.i am sure case capacity is different ,bullet diameter is correct and i have a bunch of military  50 cal bullet noses i would like to play with.the thought of full house 750 grn loads doesn't really thrill me.but some low velocity plinkers would be lots of fun.i hate to get info from ssk,not having one of their barrels and all.thanks guys ,happy holidays,shawn

well i contacted nr jones about the load data.he wasn't to keen on giving up any data since the barrel wasn't one of his,as to be expected.i did however learn that my 50 alaskan barrel will not work well with the large projectiles required for the whisper rounds,ssk's 50 cal whispers have a fast rate of spin to stabilize the bullet.i had my 50 ak barrel made with 1-18 to slow a twist rate to stabilize the bullet.
 can't blame him a bit ,he was very quick to respond to my e-mails and was actually jd himself that contacted me.just lettin' you guys know how i made out,thanks,shawn
